We will be taking Year 3 pupils on a residential trip to Beaumanor Hall in Leicestershire. This trip will be taking place from Monday 21st May to Wednesday 23rd May 2018 inclusive. The cost of the trip will be £115 per head, this includes board and lodgings, coach fare and a full programme of activities based at Beaumanor Hall.
If you wish your child to be considered for this trip please return the permission slip, which are available from the school office with a £15 non-refundable deposit by Friday 20th October 2017.
The remaining balance can be paid in regular instalments, the full amount to be paid by Friday 27th April. All money is to be sent to school in brown money envelopes and to be given directly to the school office, or you can pay on Parent Pay.
A meeting will be arranged early next term where the residential arrangements will be explained.
There are a limited number of places available for this residential, however if this limit is exceeded an additional trip will be arranged.
Year 4 – Castleton 2018
We will be taking the Year 4 pupils on a residential trip to Castleton Youth Hostel in Derbyshire and have provisionally booked 50 spaces. The trip will be taking place from Tuesday 6th February to Friday 9th February 2018 inclusive. The cost of the trip is £125 per head, this includes board and lodgings, coach fare a day out to the Caverns and 2 activities at the YHA.
If you wish your child to be considered for this trip please return the permission slip, which are available from the school office with a £15 non-refundable deposit by Friday 20th October 2017

Year 5 – Hesley Wood – “ADVENTURES UNDER CANVAS” 2018
Every year, Year 5 children at LCPS are encouraged to take part in our 5 day residential camping visit, next year it will take place at Hesley Wood Scout Activity Centre in South Yorkshire from Monday 2nd July to Friday 6th July 2018.
The centre is set within 250 acres of countryside and woodland. Your child will have the opportunity to participate in a whole range of activities within a safe and secure environment .
The cost of the visit will be £115.00 This includes all food, transport and activities, and can be paid in installments to suit you with the final payment due on, or before Friday 22nd June 2018. All money to be sent in brown envelopes and to be given directly to the school office, or you can pay on Parent Pay.
We feel this to be a fantastic experience for the children and sincerely hope you will share our enthusiasm. If you wish your child to participate, please fill in and return the permission slip, which are available from the school office along with a £15.00 deposit by Friday 23rd March 2018.
Year 6 – Hunstanton 2018
Monday 4th June – Friday 8th June 2018
We have provisionally booked for our Year 6 children to visit Hunstanton from Monday 4th June to Friday 8th June 2018.
Hunstanton, Norfolk is renowned for its Nature areas. The YHA is a stones throw away from Hunstanton beach and a short walk to Old Hunstanton beach. We plan to use both of the beaches to set up Team building activities and learn survival techniques. The area is also renowned for the birds that visit and its natural marshlands, we also plan to fossil hunt on the beaches.
We will be taking the school mini bus and intend to go out and about in the area to visit sites of interest and have booked to visit the Sea Life Sanctuary on Wednesday afternoon and have “Chips & Sausage” picnic on the beach for tea, on the way back.
Evenings will be spent at the hostel enjoying a quiz night, Art & Craft Activities and a Residential Awards Night at the end of the week, where the children have chance to nominate the most organized, most disorganized person etc on the residential.
We have tried to keep the cost of the residential to the minimum. The YHA are allowing us to bring supplies to make our own pack lunches. The children will have the chance to have cooked breakfast every morning and cooked meal in the evening. The cost is £32.00 per child per night at the YHA, £2.00 per day sandwich lunch Sea Life Sanctuary £7.00, plus transport costs. The total cost of the visit is £170.00
Although, we have sole use of the YHA, Boy/Girls spaces may be limited. We can take up to 40 children.
Miss Waites will lead the trip and 4 members of staff have volunteered to give their time to run the trip. one is First Aid trained.
